About bumetric
Independent app revenue intelligence for indie founders, ASO researchers, app acquirers and investors. Bootstrapped, methodology-first, focused on the long tail of the mobile app market.
Why we built this
Picking which mobile app to build, ship, buy or invest in usually means flying blind. The App Store and Google Play publish ratings and review counts, but the one number that actually matters — how much does this app earn? — is hidden. Existing analytics tools (Sensor Tower, data.ai) charge $99-499/mo and put forecasts behind a sales call. The lightweight free tiers cap at a handful of lookups per day with no historical data and no API.
bumetric is the missing middle ground. Every estimate is computed from public App Store / Play Store signals plus a curated set of apps whose owners have verified real MRR. The math is on the methodology page, the source links are on every product page, and the model is the same whether you're looking up a free app or a $1M/mo subscription giant.
Who's behind the numbers
Zakhar Chumak
A decade of shipping App Store and Play Store products — mobile gaming, productivity SaaS, consumer subscription apps, developer-tooling on both stores. The forecasting model was prototyped against my own apps' verified data before I opened it up to the catalog.
For technical questions, accuracy disputes, partnership inquiries, or "you got this number wrong about my app" — use the contact form. Replies within two business days. The reputation of this site depends on numbers being closer to ground truth than competing scrapers; corrections are taken seriously.
How we're funded
bumetric is bootstrapped. No outside investors, no advisory board to please, no growth-at-all-costs roadmap. The site stays free for individual lookups because programmatic SEO inbound traffic covers infrastructure costs. A forthcoming Pro tier (API access, historical data exports, alert subscriptions) will fund team expansion.
What this means in practice: we won't paywall data that should be public, we won't manipulate forecasts to favour paying customers, we won't sell user lookup history. If we ever take outside money, this page changes first.
Editorial independence — what we promise
- Forecasts are not for sale. Owners can verify their real MRR to replace our estimate on their page, but no amount of money changes the number we publish.
- Affiliate placements are labelled. Outbound links to App Store / Play Store may include affiliate codes — they don't influence rankings, and they're marked where they appear.
- Methodology changes are versioned. When the scoring model is updated, the changelog notes the date and the diff. No silent backdating.

What's next on the roadmap
2026 priorities, roughly in order:
- Verified-MRR self-service portal — Stripe Connect OAuth so owners can swap our estimate for the real number in 30 seconds.
- Pro API — programmatic access to revenue forecasts, lifecycle profiles, and verified anchors. Pricing on a tier above the Sensor Tower free tier, well below their paid.
- Alternatives discovery —
/alternatives/{slug}showing peer apps in the same niche + revenue tier. - Comparison pages —
/compare/{a}-vs-{b}side-by-side lifecycle profiles. - Public dataset endpoint for researchers (read-only, attribution required).
Changelog of methodology updates lives on the methodology page. Major product changes are announced via the guides & blog feed.
