HMRC — version history

This release adds your National Insurance number to the homepage to save you time. In Self Assessment, we have added information about third-party payment provider, Ecospend. This will help users make secure payments with increased confidence. We have also further improved the tax calculator design to assist users.

This update includes a new welcome for first time users. It explains how the app can help users and prompts them to turn on notifications. Tax credits are no longer included in the app following the system ending earlier this year. The accuracy of the tax calculator is also improved.

This release adds new tax and benefits tabs to the home screen to help users find their way around the app.

This latest release includes new icons added to some links. This will let users know when they are leaving the app and going to the HMRC website. A new Help link on the navigation bar means users can access it from any page. Users can access the Digital Assistant via the Help page to assist with tax and benefits queries.

This release includes design changes with the app changing to blue.  This follows wider Government branding. The money page is now called the home page. The home page has a new additional income link. This is to help people to pay taxes on money made outside their regular income.
