Parcel — version history

This update introduces a brand-new tracking number recognition system for adding deliveries. As a result, the list of suggested carriers should be more accurate. The app should also be better at detecting a tracking URL in the clipboard and extracting a tracking number from it. The logic for scanning and processing barcodes was also updated. Some of the changes: • when scanning a DHL Express label with multiple barcodes, the app is better at picking the tracking number from the right barcode • when scanning a DPD label, the app can now extract not only a tracking number but also a postcode (which is required for tracking) • added support for scanning QR codes on FedEx labels Other improvements in this update: • when a postcode or email address is used to track a delivery, it can now be copied on its own, separately from the tracking number. There are two ways to do that: tap and hold the tracking number on the details screen, or use "Track on website" and tap the share button. • the map preview is now displayed closer to the screen edges to better match the shape of the device • added a new extra-large portrait size for the map widget • improved renaming of Amazon orders using Apple Intelligence • slightly improved the app icons

Small bug fixes and improvements

• improved the internal logic for downloading new deliveries from the app server. This is a substantial change, but you should not notice any difference — except that refreshing in the app may be slightly faster. • when the app widget is used at medium or large size with the colour theme set to "Carrier", the app now applies the relevant carrier colours to each delivery individually. Previously, a single colour was applied to all deliveries in the widget. • the watch app has been significantly updated internally — as with the other changes, you should not notice any difference in behaviour.
