• Group admins can now bring chats to their natural conclusion with the new "End Group" option in group settings. Ending a group prevents group members from sending messages or starting calls, and also disables invites. Now you can make sure everyone stays on the right thread by ending last year's sewing meetup group before stitching a new one together.

• We've introduced additional confirmations and educational messaging in the app to help protect Signal users from phishing and social engineering attacks. As a reminder, never reply to chats pretending to be Signal, and never send your verification code, PIN, or recovery key to anyone. • Animated GIF searches are now much faster, but it's still up to you if you say what you mean or meme what you say.

• Say hello (or “Здравейте” and “Sveiki”) to expanded localization support for Bulgarian and Lithuanian.
