As a part of that, to prevent the disturbance of the middleman, digital food grain procurement initiative has been taken. Food grains procurement is going to be started experimentally in digital mode to get fair dues and eliminate suffering of farmers. This system is being introduced for the benefit of the farmers with the technical support of the Information and Communication Technology Department, so that the farmers will get the fair price of the produce and the middlemen exploiters will not be seen. Farmers will not be deceived. Farmers can directly sell their paddy and rice to the government without any hassle. Mill owners and farmers will know the demand of paddy and rice, delivery date through SMS.
