Hungary's first bird-determining application is the joint work of the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association (MME) and the Wolf Puppies Youth Association. The determinant helps to identify the nearly 367 most common bird species occurring in Hungary. The decision process is made easier by searching by shape, habitat and color.

A new feature also helps with the decision - birds appear in the hit list according to frequency, and species that are not typical for the given season are indicated separately in the application.

Additional features:
• Bird Lexicon: If you don’t want to define, just get to know the birds, you’ll find descriptions, illustrations, and sounds of all the bird species in the app in the Bird Lexicon.
• Upload occasional birdwatching: If you want to help the Bird Atlas Program of the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association and join the surveyed camp with your observation data, register at https://www.map.mme.hu/users/register. With your login details, you can then upload your occasional observations through the app. If you are already an experienced MAPer, just log in to the start page of the app and you can upload your data!
