The kingdom mentioned in chapter 9 is the Messianic government of the kingdom of Christ. The vision of chapters 10-12 is considered a reference to the end of time.

The Book of Daniel can be called the Revelation of the Old Testament and is a Biblical book of Old Testament and Hebrew Tanakh, which in Christian Bibles is among the books of Ezekiel and Hosea.
