You'll find yourself exploring the galaxy, using the special traits of each planet, trading exotic goods, dabbling in the black market, gambling, transporting passengers, avoiding pirates, getting sucked through wormholes, sabotaging your competitors and so much more. All the while the other players (who are a mixture of cunning, calculating, criminal and downright bonkers) will stop at nothing in their own quests to become Profiteers.

There are different types of space trucks to purchase and many ways to improve and upgrade those that you own. You can make your plans carefully by checking the news to see what's happening throughout the galaxy or you can smuggle illegal items between planets on a wing and a prayer, hoping to avoid the attention of pirates and intergalactic police.

The game features ten soundtracks, a unique graphical style, multiple difficulty levels, open-ended gameplay and challenging AI opponents.

Profiteer has been carefully designed so that a player can take a turn or two when they have five minutes to fill or so that they can, just as easily, settle in for a full evening's playing.
